The start of the year and Ariana had not see one of her most favorite people in the world, well two persons, Fred and George. A lot of people lumped them together but Ariana knew the difference Fred was more talkative when the two of them were tag teaming it was generally Fred leading the way even though he was the younger of the two. Fred was still more vocal and a lot of fun. George was too he was fun as well and Ari adored him too but he was just that little bit more quiet than Fred. Still the school yeah had started and she had done a full day of classes and she had not seen either twin really sure she saw them sort of in passing but that counted for absolutely nothing so when she entered the common room and saw Fred she didn't stop to wait but rather rushed over and have him something of a vice grip hug.
"What have you and George been doing? Holding out on me? It's been weeks and then neither of you can say 'hi' or at the very least send a nice prank my way?" she asked pretending to be a little put out about the whole thing though the smile and dancing light in her eyes belied any of her acting. She could be a good actress when she wanted to be but this was not one of those moments.
(OOC: I didn't want to GM so I left it open, but in my brain I could see Fred sitting and then Ari would probably hang on his shoulders a bit, if he's standing she would have back out of the hug after giving it. So up to you how you want it played.)

The start of the year was both amazing and boring for both twins. For one part it was amazing because none of the new students would even think about what was going to happen to them on their first days, the new ones were the most favorite targets of the twins, of course Ariana would tag along with them whenever they played a prank on the first years. He didn't know why but whenever the girl is around he would not stop talking, he loved to teach her what he knew about pranks, Fred somehow thought about Ariana as his little apprentice.
Blinking slightly he tilted his head, he haven't seen her up until now, and that was kind of strange now that he thought about it. Smiling to himself as he leaned back on the sofa he thought about all the adventures the three of them have had, specially the Christmas pranks they would constantly play on both harry and ron, which was their most amazing hobby while being at home.
Sighing slightly a familiar voice and grip made him smile widely tilting his head back to meet Ariana's eyes "Hey!!! Where were you hiding? We couldn't find you anywhere! You didn't told us we were playing hide and seek" he told her laughing, after her last words he made a pause with a serious face "Well...thats because you haven't reached your bed yet" he said serious for a second and then started laughing

Ariana smiled at Fred's greeting she always liked hanging out with the twins even if it was just one of them, though if she had her pick it would probably be Fred she got him a bit better and not that George didn't talk but Fred talked more and she liked that. Always good for a joke.
"If it's hide and seek then you're terrible at hiding. I'd expect better from you! I mean I still haven't see George, don't tell me he's suddenly better than you!" she teased with a little nudge of his shoulder as she had released the vice grip already but was just hanging around his shoulder over the back of the sofa rather comfortably, it was something she didn't even think twice about.
"Now that is something I haven't figured out yet, how you two get past the charm on the stairs." remarked Ariana not even really phased at the idea that there was some sort of prank waiting for her on her bed. "That's an advantage I have as I don't have to worry about it but you and George..." she shook her head, before deciding she was done hanging over the couch and around Fred's shoulders, as comfortable as they were her feet didn't want to stand any more so she came around and sat down next to the older Gryffindor tucking a leg under her and facing him smile still spread wide across her face.

Having Ariana around was starting to become natural for both twins but specially for Fred, it was amazing how she was one of the few people that could actually tell them apart, not even their own mother could do that, or maybe ir was because they always played the "I'm not Fred or George" trick on her, but Ariana would always greet them with their names, and she would always hug him like that and would never do that with George.
Gasping at her words he frowned and crossed his arms placing one over her arm "George? Better than me? Come on Ari, don't make me laugh" he added laughing slightly at the idea, of course Fred would always say he was better looking and better at anything than George, but the truth was that probably George was better at many thing, but it was somewhat of a twin competition and joke. "But you know, apparently I was good...because I wasn't even hiding and it took you long enough to find me" he said looking at her with puppy eyes, as if he was sad not seeing her, and the truth was he actually did missed her slightly. "George was feeling bad and went to sleep, apparently the pumpkin juice did something strange to him" he added laughing as he watched her move around and sit just in front of him, moving forward he grinned at her question.
"We have to worry? About you?" he asked tilting his head looking at her "Don't under estimate our limits little girl, just be careful when going to bed, and don't say I didn't warn you" he added leaning towards her and laughing. The truth was it was almost impossible for either a girl or a boy to access the other gender rooms, and she didn't have a surprise awaiting her, but the suspense would keep her entertained.

"Ah so the truth comes out! You're jealous of your older twin brother! Wait till I tell George then you'll never hear the end of it! I'm even told he the one that taught you everything you know!" Ariana couldn't help needling Fred a bit, she was always amused at how they claimed to be better than one another particularly when it came to looks considering that they were rather identical. Having spent enough time with them though and Ariana could pick out the slight differences. It was fun bursting their bubble when they tried pulling the joke of being each other on her. She rather liked being able to tell them apart it was a little thing of pride for her.
"I would claim that it was a prank I tried pulling on you two but it wasn't my supplies are a little short, mum raided my trunk before school," Ariana gave a slight frown, "but I'm sure if I write to Uncle Sirius he can get me more stuff to tie me over till Hogsmeade weekend!" There she was back to smiling once more and not caring that Fred's arm was on hers she liked and didn't mind being close to him. It was all so comfortable and natural.
"You know I have my ways, beside the boys stairs don't turn into a giant slide, though I wish they did more often. If they say a slide long enough and if we could get the boys stairs to do the same then we could have mattress surfing and races down the stair cases." She smiled her brown eyes sparking and dancing with delight at the idea. "And if you and George did something to my bed Fred Weasley you had best be prepared for retaliation galore!" she added with a fun little threat her face scrunched up in mock anger and a finger pointing at him almost a little reminiscent of Molly Weasley only not mainly because Ariana was probably the farthest thing from the Weasley matron.

"Tell him...he already knows I'm better and there is nothng anyone can do about it, not even George" he said looking at the other side pretending to be angry at her for what she just said "Plus it as me who taught him everything he knows.....even though he is older...for like five minutes" he added placing one finger under his chin meditating what he just said, turning back to the girl and laughing at the whole situation. Being around her made Fred calmed and relaxed, of course he would play tricks on her from time to time, weather she was conscious about it or not, but the two got rather well it was amazing, plus it was always amusing to play the "Which is which twin" with her for she would always get it right, no matter what they did Ariana would always name them correctly, even their own crazy mother would be surprised about it, specially when they were all together on Christmas parties. It was in moments like this that he actually thanked his crazy mom for being friends with the Potters, since like forever.
Laughing at her speech about moms taking things out before school starts he leaned forward again, this time with a mischievous grin on his face "I have to say mom has tried that a couple of times too, but George and I know how to get past her, I'll introduce you later to our new, fake trunk, it amazing, George and I developed it a couple of years ago, it looks real and has our books and all...but nothing is real...so there is nothing to take out" he added with a soft giggle looking at her "I'll give you one and you can try it on your mom too" he added after the Sirius part thing, it wasn't funny knowing that the original marauders were so close to the Potters....it actually ruined everything for the twins.
"Yeah I know...boy's stairs are boring, lucky I'm a boy and the girls stairs are fun...plus we have tried the mattress surfing before, that it really funny....before you get yelled by MacGonogal thats it" he added smirking, with a pause in the whole conversation and thread Fred busted out laughing for a millionth time "Is that a threat miss Potter?" he joked trying to mimic every professor in school "Girl, I was born out of threats, you don't scare me!" he said pulling her onto a playful hug and ruffling her hair.
Fred and Ariana had been really close ever since they started hangng out together, and the small twin could even say that they were closer than Ariana and George, even though they got along really well too, but he was glad the girl liked him better...or something.

Ariana took a moment to think about it before she broke out laughing at Fred's insistence that he was better than George. "You know I might be more inclined to believe you on that than George." she answered loving how she got Fred all riled up about not being better than his twin brother. She leaned in and gave a slight nudge in Fred's arm. It was always fun teasing him he always reacted so well to it, George didn't react as much at least that's the way it seemed to Ari.
Then Fred offered a fake trunk and she couldn't help the bubbling excitement that was running through her and she leaned back over and hugged Fred's arm such that in a way it became her arm and not Fred's any more. "You are a life saver!" She did finally relent the arm and allow Fred to keep it because a partial Fred just wasn't as fun and a whole Fred.
"That mattress surfing had better have happened before I came to Hogwarts! Otherwise I'll be forced to never forgive you and George for not including me in on that! Besides when doesn't McGonnagal yell at us?" She asked with a mischievous smile. She did like the old woman even if she got into a lot of trouble with her, Ariana had heard a fair few stories about her and how she is kind of the reason her dad and uncle got to be such good friends.
"That's not a threat, it's your one and only warning!" she answered as she was pulled into the hug. "And you had better know that you don't scare me either!" she gave off a little bit of a haughty sniff to help prove her point.

"Of course you know I'm better" he replied laughing at her nudge. He really didn't know why the girl liked to tease him so much when it came to comparing about who was the best twin, of course at the end it would be Fred fighting along against...probably himself, for George would just shrug and let him argue alone, to be honest Fred thought his brother was a party pooper sometimes, but he still looked up to him even though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even Ari.
Watching the girls reaction towards the fake trunk made him feel really good, smiling he sat up straight watching her excitement, to be honest this was the reaction he wanted to have on their costumers when they opened their joke shop, a project that had been on their minds for a long time now and it would be just a matter of time for it to come true. But Ari's reaction was just what he was expectin. "I swear to you your mother wont even notice, I mean Lily and my mom are behind us all the time, and my mom hasn't even noticed anything strange, so I guarantee it works" he added with a wink towards her, knowing how much she loved all those gadgets as much as he did.
Laughing he placed one hand over the girls head "Don't get mad Ari, it was indeed on our first year here, I think we even bumped onto a girl and made her fall down, it was interesting and funny, plus McGonogall sent us to detention for about three days for that, but I swear it was all worth it....we can even try it again if you want, I'm pretty sure if you are with use the stair will still change and you can mattress surf with us, I'll even let you ride my mattress so you know how much I love you" he added teasingly towards the girl, pushing her playfully. Indeed Fred liked Ariana a lot, she was like the sister he always wanted...yeah ok he had a sister, but Ginny was not even half as fun as Ariana.
"Glad to know I don't scare you...that way I know you wont be expecting any pranks from us...and that will be funny" he added sticking his tongue out.

"I still think it might be left up for debate who is better but I suppose I can let you think that for a while at least," answered Ariana with a wink at Fred. Why couldn't she have had a brother like Fred? He was so easy to get along with and she loved spending time with him. She could probably spend all her time with Fred and never really get sick of him. Though the house would have blown up if it was just her and Fred and that would have been bad. It was amazing that the Burrow didn't blow up between Fred and George though there were periodic explosions from their room anyway, she'd actually been there for one or two as well. That was wicked fun even if they did get in a bit of trouble.
"My mum is wicked sharp! I might have to have some fake supplies present the first time or two to keep her from suspecting. I don't think mum would believe I actually did a miraculous 180 when it comes to pranks." There was a moment of serious thought on Ariana's face as she figured out what it would take for her to be in the clear and not have to sacrifice anything for the cause.
"With a promise like that I have to forgive you!" she answered Ariana. "We need to like make a night of it!" Ari bounced a little in excitement at the idea. That night would be it seeing as George was out sick and the more people they had particpating the more fun it would be. Ariana even wondered if she could convince Finnigan to join them on it. Course his mattress might end up in flames but that was okay as long as it wasn't hers.
Ariana let out a sound of disbelief mixed maybe with a little disgust. "I'll have you know Mr. Weasley I always expect a prank from you and your brother!" She stuck out her tough back at Fred in return before adding, "I guess that makes us even though - I mean you aren't scared of me and I'm not scared of you..." She trailed off with a quaint little smile and leaned back a little bit relaxed being in Fred's company. He could prank her even then and she wouldn't care.

Fred and george would usually think that his mother was demented when she decided to have two more children after them, it was actually a close call, considering that any other of her children could have been as mischivious as thw twins, lucky for her they werent and it was only the twin's room exploding from time to time. To be honest the twins also thought that both their parents had done some kind of spell from preventing the whole house to blow into smeetherins.
Ariana had spent so much time with them around Christmas it was almost like a ritual, and Fred could and would never get tired of her. For both twins, or at least for Fred, the girl was a very important ingredient when it came to prank both Harry and Ron on Christmas eve "Come on Ari, we both know that I'm the best, George is not here so you can just stop pretending" he said trying not to lough out loud.
"Mom's are like that, I mean you know Molly, she couldnt believe our trunk was almost empty from our suplies, but she eventually gave up. I can asure you it will be the same with your mom" he added punching her shoulder softly, as if trying to cheer her up
"Thats a promise" he told her watching her excitment, laughing softly he imagines the girl wanted this to be big, plus he would totally need George on this or he would totally kill him without a warning, plus, there wasn't a time where he had done mischief without his brother and this was not going to be the first time. Ariana was more of a people person unlike them, so he knew the girl would invite more people, and he wouldn't mind as long as it was the girl inviting everyone and not some other looser.
Laughing he leaned back on the sofa looking at her, he couldn't really say why having the girl around made him feel so peacefull, it was almost the same sensation he ahd while being around his twin, but not quite the same. Shaking his head he sighed softly "I guess I need to put more effort on myself for you to be scared" he added winking at her playfully

Ari couldn't help the slightly wicked grin that played on her face as Fred tried to coax her into admitting that he was the best which in some respects he was but she was not going to tell Fred that. "I would but I fear it would all go to your head and that is not something I want! You to be a big ole fat head!" She reached up and gently poked Fred's head before laughing once more.
"Alright I'll take your word for it but if my mum can see through your fake trunk and I loose all my supplies you will owe me big! She folded her arms and tried to give a fake pout but couldn't keep it. It was hard not to smile around Fred that was what she liked so much about him! He always made her smile!
"I can't wait for George to get better so we can go surfing then! If he was anything but sick I'd insist you go get his lazy arse out of bed." Okay so Ari was rambling just a bit but she was excited and a wee bit impatient but she knew she could still wait long enough to make the whole event epic. Promise of detention or not it would be so worth it!
"Oh but you can try to put more effort into scaring me but I doubt it will work! I know you and your brother too well and I can dish it all right back at you. I may not be the awesome cool inventors that you and George are but my uncle Sirius and my dad didn't leave me without a few tricks up my sleeve!" She had her uncle's two way mirrors after all something she'd shown Fred once and then she also had the knife that pretty much opened any door, that one she hadn't shared yet. She was sure her uncle had a few more tricks he'd be happy to share as long as her mum didn't find out.

Fred laughed at Ari's words of him becoming a big fat head if she actually said that he was better than George. At her poke he closed his eyes slightly as he kept laughing at the whole thing. Of course he would always claim himself to be better than his twin, but the truth was that Fred know that George was better than him in many ways, he was the calmed one, the one that thought about things better, the one who would always make Fred feel calmer, and less stressed. "Ok, Ok, I'll give you that....we don't want that indeed" he added poking back her forhead.
After Ari's threat Fred got slightly serious as if he was actually concerned of her words, blinking slightly he tilted his head, then he smiled "Don't worry, You will be the one owing me, don't underestimate our work Ari dear, your mom wont even know whats happening believe me" he added with a wink just after her pout making him laugh hardly, grabbing her cheeks with his hands and pulling them softly. She was really cute, and an amazing friend, Fred couldn't believe how much he liked being around the girl.
"If he was anything but sick I would make him go surfing with us....but he would completely kill us if we did it without him" he told her placing his finger over his lips biting them slowly. The idea of George being mad at him made him actually terrified, he would not be able to live with an angry twin, specially when he meant so much for him.
"You are lucky you know?" he asked her laughing leaning back in the sofa. To be hoenst he was a lil bit jealous of her uncle and father, she had a background of pranksters in her family, they were actually the amazing marauders, George and him had to make things their own way without anyone helping them, that is until they met the actual marauders and they gave them some tips about the whole mischief branch.

Ariana rolled her head back with the poke to her forehead and tried to keep from smiling but it was not possible as her lips were puckered slightly as they were trying to pull into a smile. She then nudged him in the side with her arm. She wasn't the one in danger of a big head he was but she could forgive him the poke, well sort of.
"I know you and George make good stuff, but I learned long ago, you never underestimate my mum. She's probably a good person to test products against. She's a pro! I mean she catches my dad!" Ari's eyes were wide making it clear that it wasn't Fred and George she doubted it was her mum she was a nightmare to the good cause of pranking.
"I know George would kill us if we tried surfing without him, it's why I'm not saying we doing it right know." She gave a bit of a cheeky smile. She didn't want to make George upset as she like him and the last thing she would want to do even was to put the two twins at odds with each other, that whole concept was just wrong.
Then when Fred told her she was lucky she smiled a wicked devious smile. "I know! Though I swear my dad had a few other tricks up his sleeve that he's not telling me about. I mean some of the pranks they talk about just don't seem to work out unless there was something more you know?" She asked though Fred probably didn't know all of the stories like she did. It still bugged her that there seemed to be something more that she was missing which was odd cause her dad liked to give her the pranking supplies. She had a thoughtful look on her face as she gave it another good bit of thought.
OCC: I'm referencing the invisibility cloak as that went to Harry, and I don't think James would tell her about it, otherwise Ari would have complained and tried to steal it and I wanna give Harry/Rue that one.

"Oh! No, no, don't get me wrong, mothers are never to be underestimated. Believe me, Molly is not worse than your mother, she is still trying to catch us and confiscate our stuff, but she just can't get pass our barriers, and yet she knows we are still carrying and making new things....but she can't do much can she now?" Fred told de girl first worried about her mother's reaction about everything to do with pranks, and then chancing his expresion to a proud one, knowing that not even his crazy mom could get pass their pranks....at least not most of the time, but she had goten her hands on some things that would explode or burn and they would not hear the last of it till their mother got tired and sent them to their room. Doing pranks and inenting new things was smething both Fred and George loved the most, it was for what they lived for and they wouldnt rest untill they were the best pranksters in the whole world. "Plus, well....your mom is used to your dad's jokes and all....she has years of practice, our mom doesn't, but its all the same, don't worry, we don't underestimate anyone when inventing new things, believe me" he added with a laugh, obviously proud of himself.
Fred smiled at the girl's words happy that she actually cared about both boys, and did understand that Fred wouldn't do anything funny or extreme without his brother, they were almost inseparable, and everybody knew it, but from time to time people would not care about that and asked either of them to perform things on their own, at least Fred foudn that offensive for he wouldn't dare do anything without his brother, and he knew...or hoped George wouldn't do that either "Thank you for undesrtanding" he added smiling sweetly at her, then with a quick moment he pulled her close into a hug ruffling her hair "We don't want George to burn our beds in he middle of the night do we?....Well...I sleep next to him so I'm a bit scared of what he can do to me" he added laughing at the idea of an angry George, of course it was easier for him to get mad than George, but he was scared to dead to meet an angry George, he would feel horrible for it.
Fred got a little lost with her last words, of course he knew her father was a prankster just like him, and actually James Potter was one of the original marauders, trio he admired terribly, actually they had found a map in the castle that belonged to them, yes, it was their fist year in Hogwarts when they found the map, map that was absolutely useful in many senses. Listening to the girl he smiled and nodded slightly, even though he wasn't 100% sure what she was talking about he wished he was, all of her father's stories were amazing and he only knew a few "I kind of understand....maybe your father is not telling you the complete story?" he asked shrugging slightly.

Ariana hadn’t wanted to be skeptical of Fred she really did believe him and that his product was good but at the same time she knew her mum and that put everything into question. If her dad was king of pranks her mum was the queen of outing them. It made life difficult. “I believe you Fred,” answered Ariana with a smile, “But if anyone was to out fox your work it would be my mum! So I’ll be happy to put the product to the ultimate test that is my mum!” She gave a smile until a slightly wicked idea came to her mind. “Actually if you have any thing that needs tested I don’t mind helping you and George out with it. My mum is the ultimate test I would think considering how pro she is! I think I can handle a few punishments if something doesn’t work out though I don’t think that will happen very often seeing as you and George are pros at what you do!” She loved Fred and George’s inventions and she thought it was a brilliant idea for them to possibly market things because she knew she’d pay good money for a lot of their stuff. Fortunately she didn’t have to pay money as she was close to the twins.
Then Fred thanked her for understanding, and she smile and then laughed as Fred mentioned what George could do. She then gave a bit of a shudder. “I don’t think I ever want to see a mad George! The very idea itself is frightening!” she had a bit of a somber look but it was replaced with a smile because well George wasn’t mad at them and he wouldn’t be as far as Ari was concerned so there was nothing to worry about, and that is where her rambling about her father’s story came in.
“That’s the thing, I don’t know why he wouldn’t tell me the whole story, and yet I can’t figure out what it is he’s not telling me about.” There was another thoughtful frown on her face as she tried to figure it out. She swore there was something more they had that helped them out but she couldn’t imagine what it was. Little did she know that he father and his best mates had access to an invisibility cloak which was a game changer in the world of pranking. It was probably a good thing her father never mentioned or told her about it because then she would have wanted it and would have even sunk as low as trying to steal it from her brother whom her father bequeathed it to.
