A single choice can change
an entire story.
an entire story.
The Dark Lord had a choice once. The pureblood or the half-blood? He decided who would be The Chosen One. But what if he had chosen the other? What if he picked the pureblood?
On October 31, 1981, it was the Longbottoms that the darkest wizard of all time found hidden away in a sleepy little town. Frank and Alice knew what Voldemort was coming for that night, and gave their lives to protect their son. Alice’s sacrifice protected her son and the Dark Lord ultimately fell.
Voldemort fled the little town and hid himself away from the rest of the world in one of the far corner of the earth. Most of the wizarding world believed him to finally be dead. There was no word of the Dark Lord. The word came out of darkness and a slight peace settled. But in this peace, there were some who were not convinced the Dark Lord was gone. They believed he was out there somewhere barely surviving.
The baby, named Neville, survived the encounter with the Dark Lord and was taken to his grandmother’s house to be raised. And the story has changed. Neville Longbottom is the Boy Who Lived. The wizarding world knew his story and his name.
His Gran didn't let his fame go to his head. The world was quiet and Neville lead a normal life as possible for a wizard with the help of his Gran. He started Hogwarts at age eleven like any other child would. But he found that whispers followed him in the corridors and snide remarks were made. And it might have bothered him if it hadn't of been for his two best friends Luna Lovegood and Seamus Finnigan.
His years at Hogwarts were not nearly as quiet as no would have guessed. The tasks he faced were nothing like those Harry would have faced. After all, the story has changed. It seemed that there were a few Death Eaters seeking revenge on the boy responsible for the downfall of their Dark Lord. But the Dark Lord himself remained hidden, not yet ready to make his move.
As his fourth year ended, rumors of Voldemort being alive grew like wildfire. There are people who deny any truth to such rumors, particularly the Minister. Of course, the Ministry would know if he had regained his power. "The Dark Lord wouldn't remain silent about something like that even if he was alive... which he most certainly is not!" said the Minister.
Neville and his friends, however, are not convinced. Death Eaters seem even more hell bent on getting close to the Chosen One. And they are getting sneakier and sneakier about how to get to him.
And as Neville starts his fifth year, he knows he’ll have to face He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named one day.
But will he be ready?
