Aurora looked down at her watch as she dashed through the train station. She had awoke in a great mood on the morning of September 1 only to have her father be in a not so great one. She hated mornings like that because he always seemed to want to take his bad mood out on either Aurora or her mother.
She had left her room and told the house elf to take care of her trunk for her. As she strolled down the stairs she heard the voices of her mother and father arguing.
"What do you mean He's not happy with you?" Her mom voiced with concern.
"I'm not to go into details, but this is very bad for us." Snapped her father.
“Well if you don’t tell me there is no way that I could help you.” Her mother snapped back.
Aurora stopped dead in her tracks not making a sound. She was debating going back to her room and skipping breakfast, she hated her father’s fits of anger. He always blew everything out of proportion anyway. But what had he meant something was very bad for them? She was hoping it didn't pertain to the Dark Lord, but since her mother had not said a name she knew it must be.
'What did dad do?' She thought to herself. 'What could he possibly have done that would have made the Dark Lord mad? Daddy is one of his closest followers and in his inner circle.' She sighed not wanting to go downstairs, but she knew she must. Aurora continued down the stairs her parents stopped talking as soon as she walked into the dining room. It was a grand room with two big chandeliers at either end of the table. Everything was accented in a jade color, it was her mother’s favorite. She walked about half way down the table, which with the table being incredibly long made her pretty far away from both her parents who were at either end. “Good morning.” She said with no emotion in her voice. She knew the yelling would commence at the first thing she said wrong.
Aurora looked over at her father who immediately tore into her about what she was wearing. She hadn’t thought it was too bad, she was wearing jeans and a cute frilly top. Her father went on and on about it and how much he hated it for about thirty minutes when he made her go upstairs and change into something that was, in his own words, ‘more of what a pureblood would wear’.
Aurora looked up at the train and let a small sigh of relief go; she wouldn't have to deal with her father in person for a while. He had been very stressed lately. As she boarded the train she began to look to see if there was anyone she would be able to stand being with the entire trip to the castle. As she looked in the last compartment she smirked a little, 'An empty compartment!' She thought excitedly doing a little dance in her head. She walked to the corner seat by the window and sat down. 'Now, hopefully no mud bloods come to ruin this for me.' She sighed waiting glad she had made the train on time.

She had just finished curling the last section of her long dark hair when a pounding sounded on the bathroom door. Instantly a grin appeared on her lips. She tried to imagine how long her brother had waited outside before knocking. "Jackie hurry up!" Coddy yelled. She said nothing while putting on a quick, light face of makeup. Jackie didn't want risk her mother making her wash it off.
"Jackie! Get out of the bathroom! Its the train ride not the bloody Yule Ball!" Her older brother sounded off again. She snickered slightly as she heard him call for their mother. His bathroom was being remodeled and they were sharing for the time being. 'He should have moved his stuff to the guest bathroom,' she thought opening the door. "About - mom is not gonna let you wear that," he said chuckling looking at her tight pink tank top and black skinny jeans. Jackie gave him a big mischievous smile and shuffled past him.
Music played loudly as she danced around her room and finished packing her trunk. She knew they needed to be leaving soon or they'd miss the train and she certainly didn't want her mother blaming that on her. Jackie flipped the lid to the trunk closed and told the house elf to see that it got to the car. "Come on Nox, time to go to school,"
she putting her Kneazle-cat in the cage and went to the car. She sat in the back of the limo with her mother, father and brother. Jackie was pretty uncomfortable is the thick black coat that matched her mother's. The only reason she wore it was to keep the peace. Her other jacket was in her bag. "Now, Jackie, try not to cause so much trouble this year," her father said as they reached the station, "I don't want to hear from Snape every week about something you've done." There was a lightness in his voice only she could understand. After all, he had been a trouble maker in school too. "Please, Jackie, for god sake behave yourself this year," her mother said to her as she went to bored the train. Coddy had disappeared with some seventh year boys already. "If I did mother then we would never have anything to talk about," she said with a large grin and left her mother's eyesight. Slowly she wandered down the corridor of the train as she unzipped the stuffy jacket she wore. Her whole family had worn all black to the station. Muggles that saw them probably thought the were going to a funeral. That was wrong though. They were purebloods. And they should it off by their fancy black clothing. Jackie rolled her eyes. She opened the last compartment and luckily there was a Slytherin inside it. If it had been someone of any other house, she probably would have wrinkled her nose and walked away. But it was Aurora. They were friends... at least well enough friends. Her parents ran in the same circle and they had had time to get to know each other a bit. "Hey there Aurora," Jackie said with a light smile as she switched out her black jacket for a cropped white leather one before sitting across from the girl. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS POST HAS: no idea lol I'M ROLEPLAYING WITH: that cool chick aurora YOU SHOULD KNOW: this is Nox JACKIE IS WEARING: something her mother wouldn't like CREDITS: Caitie <3 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Aurora looked up as she heard the compartment door open. ‘Oh great, here we go. I swear if it’s that Longbottom kid I’m not going to be able to handle it.’ She thought to herself. She smiled a little as she saw Jackie and let out a small sigh of relief. She looked over at the girl as she said, ‘Hey there Aurora.’ She watched her changing clothes thinking, ‘Oh the pureblood look.’ She knew it all too well, it happened in all pureblood supremacist families although it was something not often talked about.
Aurora knew Jackie somewhat well, their parents were in the same circle and both families being pureblood supremacist they ran into each other quite often. It was usually at one of the uppity balls or parties their parents both made them go too occasionally. She had also seen her at the parties that were constantly being held in the Slytherin common room; both girls loved to party. They usually got on perfectly well they had just never talked too terribly much. It also made it difficult because Jackie was a year ahead of her in school.
“Hey Jackie, How was your summer?” Aurora asked politely looking at her. Her summer had been rather eventful; her family had traveled to Albania and Egypt. Albania was nice but they didn’t get to do or see much, her father had been rather busy and it was her and her mother most of the time. She had been perfectly fine with that though. After Albania they went to Egypt where they saw the pyramids and got to learn about the ancient magic. It was something that interested her and she had considered becoming a curse breaker so she could explore all the time.
Although she had a great summer Aurora couldn’t wait to get back to school. To the freedom that school offered her and not having her parents over her like hawks watching her every move. School was a place that she could get away to an extent. She never had to worry about her parents popping up in the halls of the castle and that was a big relief on it own. She always wanted to come back to school and be somewhere where she could be herself without being interrogated for eating one too many potato chips.

Jackie stuffed the black coat into her bag as Aurora asked about her summer. It was small talk. And it would have to do for the time being. She didn't know Aurora well enough to spill her guts to much. They had spent an entire pureblood party together once or twice. Initially it was for Jackie to get away from her glaring mother, but Aurora turned out to be quite fun to be around. 'Why haven't I hung out with her more,' she though briefly.
She crossed her legs and leaned back, making herself comfortable. It was going to be a long train ride. "There would good and bad parts. My mother was dreadful as usual," she said with a shrug. "We went to France for a month. And I love France, especially Paris," she smiled brightly and her voiced filled with happiness. "I don't know if you have ever been to France but you must go! The food, the shopping, the atmosphere and the men... it's amazing. I mean I had to spend a lot of time with my mother so it wasn't that amazing. I'm pretty sure she spent the half time scolding everything I did, ate, and bought and the other half glaring at me, but the days I spent without her were absolutely perfect."
Jackie realized she rambled a bit, but that happened a lot with her. Get her on a topic and sometimes she'll just go and go and go. Usually she could tell when someone didn't care or thought she was annoying but she didn't know the blonde sitting across from her enough to know. "Then we spent a month in the United States,"
she said rolling her eyes, "dad -- father had business there apparently." Outside of their home, she was suppose to say father and not daddy. It was her mother's rule. They were purebloods and saying 'daddy' was very... what was the phrase her mother used 'childish little girl like.' "Anyway, the states were a total bore. I would have rather stayed at home." The last had been her favorite. She had almost died when her father told her where they were going. The best part had been her mother staying home. A large smile appeared on Jackie's lips and her eyes brightened as she got excited to talked about it. "And I spent the last month in Romania with the dragon handlers which was exciting and scary. But it was so incredible. It was by far the best part of the summer."She set her hands in her lap and bounced her foot a bit. "Sorry I carried on like that. I don't know when to shut up usually." She gave a soft smile as the excitment settled in her. "What did you do this summer, Aurora? I think my father mentioned your family going to Eygpt... which I was very jealous of! I've always wanted to go. How was it?" She was quite interested in Aurora's experience. Jackie had never really been interested in Eygpt until recently. The old magic would be cool to learn about but she was more interested in the old magical creatures. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS POST HAS: again no clue... if i had to guess like 500 maybe 600 I'M ROLEPLAYING WITH: that cool chick aurora YOU SHOULD KNOW: its 3 am and i've had too much caffine which is why there so much nonsense in this post and so much pink! Aurora watched the girl as she went on and on about France thinking to herself, ‘I’m going to make daddy take me to France. I can’t believe he hasn’t yet.’ She nodded a little and answered, “Father hasn’t yet taken us to France, although I think next year I will make him.” She gave a small smile thinking about it, “It sounds fabulous and if I could get away from Father for a while…” She trailed off looking out the window, although she had been more thinking aloud. She shook her head, “But, yes France sounds amazing I cannot wait to go. Especially for the men, the shopping and food are just bonuses.” Aurora smirked a little. She loved boys and was absolutely boy crazy and did not care who knew.
“The United States huh?” She said as she wrinkled her nose at the thought of it. “I never have wanted to visit there.” She looked back to the girl and said, “To me it has always sounded like a huge bore. Not to mention that it has more muggles and mudbloods than I dare to try to count. It is not worth my time.” She smirked, “At least that is what I’ve heard from Mother.”
“So Romania sounds like it was fun.” Aurora answered after the girl mentioned it and told her about the dragons. She liked animals to an extent but they scared her so she would generally stay away. “We went to Romania last year. It was quite fun although the dragons are a bit…” Aurora tried to think of how to word this correctly without sounding scared, “frightening at times due to their size.” That may not have been the best way to answer but, it would work. The dragons were huge and daddy being the dare devil he was had made both of them get up close and personal. The dragons were literally breathing fire just a couple of yards away from her. It was exciting but rather scary and she had no desire to go back anytime soon.
Aurora smirked a little and responded about her summer, “It was alright we went to Albania first.” She said not wanting to say much about what had been done there, “Father had business.” She said leaving it at that, she had a feeling Jackie would have a good idea as to what she was talking about.
“But yes we did go to Egypt! It was amazing, you should make your Father go next summer! The amount of ancient magic that is there and how it was done and the extent is absolutely amazing.” Aurora said excitement growing in her voice. “I cannot believe the traps they have and what all the curse breakers do.” Her eyes lit up a little, “Their lives are so full of adventure and they get to go through and find out about all the different curses and traps used back then it is absolutely fabulous and amazing.” She smiled a little thinking about it. “We went to this one pyramid that they were working on and Father went in first to ‘protect us’” she said using her fingers to quote. “I think he did it because he likes the thrill of it and it’s just not as fun when someone goes before you. Anyway, he was walking through and all the sudden he started flailing his limbs about in a strange manner. It looked as though he were trying to dance.” She said with a weird look on her face, “Needless to say it was so funny I fell over laughing and so did Mother.” She said smiling thinking about it. She had gotten into a lot of trouble later that night for laughing instead of helping but she hadn’t been able to help it. If it had happened to her, her daddy would have laughed. “After that we came back to the manor just in time for school to start.” Aurora said shrugging a little, “All the better anyway, Father has been on edge lately.” She was going to leave it at that and not go into what she had heard this morning. “I’m so ready to get back this year and win the house cup.” She said trying to change the subject although she wasn’t for sure how well it would work.

She smiled as Aurora talked of making her father take her to France next summer. It was a brilliant idea, at least Jackie though so. She would have loved to stay there. Maybe she'd ask her father to go back next summer as well. Jackie nodded in agreement as Aurora commented about the men. "The men," she said grinning, "they are so much more... sophisticated then our English boys. And charming. And their accents are to die for."
As Aurora mentioned getting away from her father, Jackie realized that Aurora and her father seemed to have the same relationship that Jackie had with her mother. 'Funny how some things turn out,' she thought silently. Pureblood fathers, like Aurora's, were usually the stricter ones in the families, but in Jackie's family it was her mother. Her father had rules, but her mother seemed to have rules, demands, and clear cut expectations. Like she had planned the lives of her children way in advance and a step off that path was forbidden. Maybe not Jackie's life though; she was the 'oops baby' after all. Purebloods have heirs, not families. Her brother was the heir. And Jackie was way out in left field which made her worry.
"Your mother is quite right about the States," she said nodding. Every where she went, there were hordes of half-bloods and muggles. They clothing the wore looked ridiculous. That whole month had been horrible. "I made my father promise I never had to go back."
"The dragons were incredible. I wish we had gotten closer though, but Father couldn't convince them to let me,"
she said with the slightest frown. It was one of the few things in her life that she father did manage to get her. Jackie gave an understanding nod when Aurora mentioned her father on business. It was a phrase she was all to familiar with. Their talk seemed to have moved from small talk to a more friendly girl talk. Both girls were talking excitedly about their summers. Jackie wacthed as Aurora spoke excitedly about Egypt. "Its sounds amazing!" Jackie was jealous, incredibly jealous, of Aurora to the point where there may have been a hint of it in her voice. "And you sound like you had the best time! I will definitely be making Father take us next summer," she said with a large smile. So Aurora's father was on edge? With the rumors flying about that didn't surprise Jackie. But she suddenly realized that her own father had been so calm lately. He was almost to calm; his behavior was off. Jackie took the change of subject and went with it. She disliked talking about her father and his business especially during the current fury of rumors surrounding death eaters. "Of course we'll win the House Cup! The other houses don't stand a chance!" she said smiling. That is, if she manage not to get caught near as many times as last year. "And what about Quidditch? How's our team looking this year?" Jackie didn't play. She may have been a great flyer, but her brother seemed to inherit all athletic ability. But she had somehow managed to become quite a die-hard fan - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS POST HAS: - - - I'M ROLEPLAYING WITH: that cool chick aurora YOU SHOULD KNOW: meh JACKIE IS WEARING: something her mother wouldn't like CREDITS: Caitie <3 [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Aurora smiled a little thinking about the French boys sophisticated and accents? That was almost more than she could handle. “I may just move to France.” She said jokingly. She was defiantly going to send an owl to her father and let him know so he didn’t make other plans before she could tell him. Aurora nodded, “The states sound dreadful. I think if Father ever says we have to go there I would just die! All the pictures I’ve seen make me never want to step foot in that bin of a country.” She said scrunching up her nose. It really did sound dreadful to her and the pure sight of all those muggles and mud bloods would probably make her sick to her stomach.
“The dragons are incredible.” Aurora commented, “Father made me sneak in with him and get close to them. It was pretty intimidating. They are so big but at the same time it’s amazing to see something that big and different than you.” She said in a rather matter of fact tone. There were scary up close but it was also amazing to see something like that so close, it was amazing to even see something like that at all.
Aurora could hear the jealousy in Jackie’s voice as she mentioned Egypt, it made her smile a little. That was what Slytherin’s did, they all made each other jealous of each other in some way at some point in time. It was just her time and it wasn’t anything that was going to be a big deal in the long run. Jackie would love Egypt if she went though, anyone would love that place. “Egypt is well worth it to tell your Father that you must go! Tell him it is a necessity.” Aurora grinned a little. She used this on her own father all the time. She would tell him she needed not wanted something. It worked pretty well.
Aurora smiled and said, “The other houses never stand a chance, the only reason they ever win is because we lose all of our own points being awesome.” She nodded a little. She was a very competitive person and hated when Slytherin didn’t win. “The team is looking great this year! I plan on us successfully stomping those other houses right out.” She said confidently, she loved quidditch. It was the best sport ever, that was a fact not an opinion. “So far I’m still going to be chaser along with Harry and Draco is going to be seeker again. Other than that I haven’t heard about anyone else.” She said shrugging a little. “But we should do great! I’m sure the others will be coming back too, I don’t know why they wouldn’t.” She looked out the window, the sun was shining today with a slight breeze although it looked like they may be going into clouds soon. She was hoping it wasn’t going to storm.

Aurora and her father were sneaking and got closer to the dragons. Jackie felt a little more jealous. Why hadn't she thought of that?! She was the queen at mischief, not pranks, but sneaking about. And she was the queen at getting what she wanted, particularly from her father. "I guess I'll have to go back to Romania and try that,"
she said grinning. She would get close to the dragons no matter the cost. Jackie, like most Slytherins, wouldn't stop until she got what she wanted. She would do whatever it took to get whatever it was she wanted. Whether she had to go to her father, who rarely said no to her, or do it on her own. She had ways of getting what she wanted and having things done her way. She would get close to the dragons and her father will take her to Egypt. "I'll send him an owl once we arrive! There is no way I'm not going to Egypt next summer."Jackie laughed as Aurora commented on their house losing points due to awesomeness. "The other houses just wish they could pull off half the awesome things we do." Slytherins lost points for having fun. Jackie's parties sometimes lost them points, if Snape found contraband items. But Jackie had a better plan to hide them this year. And last year Jackie got caught several times last year putting a spell on McGonagall's desk so it would walk away when she sat down. She grinned to herself. The old bag's reaction the first time had been priceless. But Jackie definitely needed to stop getting caught. "I can't wait for the matches to start!" she said smiling. The matches were one of her favorite parts of school. "Harry and Draco, huh?" Jackie had a thing for Draco. Not that she would tell anyone that. He didn't seem interested in her and that frustrated her more than anything. And Harry, that boy was an odd Slytherin, that was for sure. "Well I'm sure our team will be incredible!"She smiled to herself. Jackie had a feeling this year was going to be the best yet. And she would make sure it was, one way or another. She had a few things she was determine to make happen, but first she needed to start the year off right. "I'm thinking a back to school party is in order," she grinned mischievously and opened her bag. She needed something to take notes with and on. "I could probably manage to get it together by tonight," she said thoughtfully before looking back up at Aurora. "Or should we wait until tomorrow night?" she asked with a smile. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS POST HAS: - - - I'M ROLE PLAYING WITH: aurora !! Aurora nodded and said, “Behind the dragons there is a hole in their security. It is enough to get through, once through they will tend to ask you questions but as long as you have a basic knowledge about dragons they think you are a keeper and will let you go about your day.” Aurora was letting the girl know exactly how to get in. It was worth it and she at this point trusted Jackie that much.
“Just like my family will be going to France!” Aurora exclaimed after Jackie said they were defiantly going to Egypt next summer. She smiled thinking about France, she wanted to go so badly now for the boys and clothes were good too, she also loved food. Aurora had a feeling she would fall in love with the place once she had gone, just as she had with Egypt.
“That is so true!” Aurora said. They always lost points for doing cool things like the time she had enchanted Dumbledore’s seat to grow extremely hot every time he sat in it to the point that he had to get up. He had not been happy with her and had given her quite a few detentions and she had lost a lot of house points. But, it had been worth it although she was still unsure as to how he had known it was her. That was Dumbledore for you he knew everything.
“I can’t wait for practice to start!” Aurora exclaimed maybe a little too excited. She loved Quidditch, loved flying, loved everything about the free feeling she got when she did. “We will be incredible. They have us starting out morning practices every morning before breakfast. I’m going to know the other chasers moves by heart.” Aurora said a little exasperated. She liked to practice but every morning seemed a little excessive to her. She couldn’t understand it, but she would be there bright and early so that they could be the best. They would be the best this year she had no doubt in her mind.
Aurora smiled thinking about a back to school party. She loved parties and was so excited to be having one, “I think tonight would be awesome. No one would really be expecting it because it is the first night and we could show those stupid little first years how the Slytherin’s party. Maybe they can learn a thing or two so they can take over once we finally leave this place.” Aurora noted. “We don’t want to leave them thinking we don’t have the best parties at Hogwarts.” She nodded looking at Jackies notepad, “So what all should we do for this one? Should we do everything or keep it basic?” She asked smiling ready to get the planning underway.

Jackie smiled when Aurora told her the secret way in to see the dragons. She would get to see the dragons up close. Answering the questions would be easy; she gotten every book she could on them when her father had told they would be going. And Magical Creatures was her best subject. "That's brilliant! Thanks!"
She debated for a moment if she would tell her dad about her plans. He would probably go with her and ask where she got such knowledge. All Jackie could do was grin. Aurora gave her vital information for completing her new goal. But that what Slytherins did. They may try to make each other jealous and what not sometimes, but they always took care of their own. Always.
"When you get to Paris, find the most adorable flower shop called 'Rosie's' and ask for Cassie. She is Rosie's daughter and a pureblood. Tell her you know me and she'll show you how to have fun in Paris the French way," Jackie said grinning. Her time in Paris wouldn't have been nearly as fun if she had bumped into Cassie one day outside her mother's shop. Both girls were dressed in simple pureblood fashion and they instantly became friends. "You'll like her, I promise."
"Every morning? Oh I would die," she said shaking her head. "Not that I can play worth a damn anyway,"
she said with a slight laugh. Jackie had only tried once when her brother tried to teach her. He nearly fell off his broom laughing at her. 'Never again,' she thought bitterly. She didn't like being laughed at in that manner. She had too much pride for that. Aurora was game for a party tonight. "Tonight it is," she said grinning. "Exactly. We must show the first years the proper way to party in Slytherin. And I say go big or go home." Jackie idly wrote 'go big or go home' at the top of the page. "We'll do everything!" - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THIS POST HAS: - - - I'M ROLE PLAYING WITH: aurora !! Aurora smiled and said, “No problem.” She felt as though she needed to tell Jackie how to get to the dragons, she knew she loved animals and even though she had made her jealous, she had to help her out too. Slytherins always tried to help each other out to an extent, mostly they would help if it wouldn’t be of any inconvenience to them, this was one of those times. What did it really matter if she told Jackie how to get to the dragons, it wouldn’t hurt her to tell her.
“Cassie? Sounds good! I will be sure to do that right away!” Aurora said excitedly. “Thanks!” She smiled a little, she could not wait to go to Paris and now that she had a connection of sorts she was even more excited. It was always fun to get in trouble by yourself but not nearly as fun if you had someone to do it with and they knew the city. That was the important thing, she knew the city and it would be a much better time having her there. ‘It’s a good thing this Cassie girl is pureblood.’ Aurora thought to herself what her daddy would say if she hung out with someone who was not, but she figured Jackie was probably in the same boat as far as that went.
“Yes, ever morning it is going to be horrible!” Aurora exclaimed. “I am hoping that it dies down after a few weeks and the captain lays off a bit, how am I ever supposed to make it to practice after partying? I mean I will do it of course, but still you would think they would have a little common courtesy.” Aurora started thinking about it, if they kept up the every morning thing it would drive her crazy and it was guaranteed the whole team would never all be there at once.
“Go big or go home…” Aurora thought for a second, “Perfect name for the first party, if you aren’t Slytherin material and can’t handle a party on the first night go home, or move yourself down to Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.” Aurora said this last part half jokingly, as far as she had ever heard those two houses never had parties. What would they do if they did study and be nice to each other? No, this did not make sense to her.
