Aurora gave Seamus a look like he had three heads when he talked about the types of creatures Luna came up with at times and how you couldn’t help but believe her. She didn’t say anything to him, but there was no way she was going to believe in a sort of creature called a ‘Narggle? Was that it?’ She didn’t know. The thought was ludicrous and she could not get past the thought that Luna just very well might be crazy. As far as Neville went she obviously was not very fond of the boy, he had made the Dark Lord disappear and that was not something Aurora liked much at all.
“So other than Quidditch or classes what do you do?” Aurora asked trying to change the subject before she said something that she probably shouldn’t, she had a bad habit of that and often times would blurt out something that she probably should not have said, but that’s why she was in Slytherin she was not a nice girl by any means. She leaned back in her chair a little tipping the front legs off the ground but maintaining her balance as she looked at Seamus wondering, ‘why do I have to be attracted to everything I can’t have. It isn’t even fair and this time daddy can’t do anything for me because daddy would whole heartedly not approve. ’

Seamus recognized that disbelieving look Aurora gave him. It was true when a person stopped to think about the creatures that Luna talked about they seemed crazy and he knew that is sounding like the talk of a mad person when he mentioned some of Luna's ideas but the way she presented them herself it almost started to make sense and it was a way of explaining the unexplained. Not to mention the belief and conviction in Luna's voice was rather convincing. But Seamus didn't push the subject or idea. Really it wasn't his place to convince a person of Narggles or Wackspurts. The former he wasn't sure he fully believed in but the idea of Wackspurts made sense to him.
So in the end Aurora changed subjects and Seamus gave a shrug as he decided to go ahead and take another bite of food. "I don' know, there isn't much I end up going on some sort of adventure with Neville and Luna or just hangin out." Hanging out included things such as playing the dangerous (at least for him) game of exploding snap or working on his little pet project of turning water into whiskey. He didn't know all the science behind such a concept but he was determined to do it. As a first year he managed to make a weak tea with a rubbish spell so it seemed possible.

Aurora nodded as she replied, “Yes, there is not much to do around here. I think that is why most people tend to get into trouble.” She sighed a little, it was true she was constantly getting into trouble as she would get bored and pull pranks on people. What did the teachers expect? She should not be held responsible for the pranks and such she pulled when she got bored at least she hadn’t yet made a habit out of harassing first years.
Aurora took another bite of her apple and looked over at Seamus. She was not for sure what to say to him, but he was really cute and she was having a hard time not looking at him. She did not understand it, he was not an acceptable person for her to be so attracted to. ‘Why is it that I always want someone I should not? Father is going to pick someone for me eventually it’s not like I even have this choice.’ She looked down at her food, she was not hungry anymore. Anytime it came to thinking about family or anything of that sort even she lost her appetite so she generally tried her best not to think of it in order to avoid the subject all together.

Seamus gave a half laugh to Aurora's opinion about people getting into trouble. "I've gotten into a fair bit o trouble here n there." he admitted "Some of the professors think I blow things up on purpose." He gave a bit of a shrug. He really didn't always try to blow things up, it just happened. Though it was pretty wicked cool most of the time. Seamus really didn't mind the explosions even if his hair and eyebrows had been singed a number of times. It was just part of his life. He couldn't help it really if he found fire to be interesting and fascinating. He even mildly wondered if there was a job out there that would allow him to purposefully blow things up and set things on fire. He was already pretty good at it with out even trying.
Seamus let out a sigh and set his fork down and pushed his plate away. He realized he wasn't really hungry any more and had had enough. That was probably a good thing cause he was going to need to get going soon if he hoped to catch up with Luna and Neville, not that he hadn't found this conversation with Aurora to interesting. He hadn't expected to have been able to be civil with a Slytherin let alone find one to be fairly attractive. It was wrong on so many levels.

Aurora smiled and said, “You mean you don’t blow things up on purpose?” She was joking with him and hoped that he would catch on. She had been in a few classes with him and knew that he was constantly blowing thing up and instead of getting aggravated by it, he seemed more amused. She had thought it was cute but of course had to turn her nose up and act as though it was stupid and how could he possibly have messed something that simple up. She did not like having to be like that all the time, but it was what came with her position of being a pureblood heiress.
Aurora smiled as she stood up moving behind her chair pushing it in, “It was nice talking to you, but as we both know this should not be spoken about again to anyone. If I see you around I will have to act as though nothing happened, it is no offense to you. You seem like a good person, but I have a certain image I must uphold.” She nodded, she had said all of this very business like as if they had just made a transaction of sorts. She stepped back looking down at her outfit making sure she did not have anything on it. “It was good to meet you though. Maybe if we see each other in this type of situation again we could talk.” She gave him a small smile, she did feel a little bad about having to end a good conversation this way, but it was her only choice. If it got out that she had so much as been in the room alone with him she did not know what would happen and that was a chance she really did not want to take. Not with all the stress her father had been dealing with and putting on her lately.

A smirk played on Seamus' mouth as Aurora asked about his blowing things up. It was the truth he wasn't bothered by it and rather enjoyed it at times. A lot of the time the explosions were on accident but there were a few times he did it on purpose. Fire was cool and it was fun to play with explosions. There was a special kind of magic that went with it. It was no wonder then that the boy's favorite game was exploding snap though most people seemed to like to avoid playing with him because it was particularly explosive with him. Though explosions were what you avoided in the game because an explosion equated a loss Seamus on occasion played the cards purposefully to explode that was a reward rather than a loss in his books. He had grown familiar with how to set the cards so they were their most explosive. It was amusing that way and really quite harmless worse case was slightly singed eyebrows. He was worse when it came to potions really.
Then Aurora took to speaking a lot of what was on his mind that this situation was unusual and that things would not change outside of the kitchens they could have their little secret but that was it. "Don worry yer pretty little head. No one would believe it anyway." answered Seamus realizing that she was just your typical Slytherin. Not that he planned to be any different either but it was so typical Slytherin to be two sided (even if he was going to be the same).
"Don't ya worry I'll be sure to wallop ya on the pitch and give ya good insult or two," there was a slight harness in his voice but his look was opposite of his words which held a soft smile. "We'll have ta see what may come in the future." he said a little quietly as she left. He wasn't about to follow her out. It was probably for the best if he gave her a few moments and as much as everything in him said to hate her, he almost couldn't help but hope that there would be another nice quite little moment between them. It might be worth something. But he dashed those thoughts away as the elves approached concerned that he wasn't pleased with his meal. "Naw, it was fine. I had more then enough. Thanks."
He got up from his seat once the elves were placated and walked out of the kitchens tucking away his thoughts of Aurora for something to be dealt with later such as when he was alone falling asleep at night where no one could ask or guess what was going through his head. For the interim he turned his feet toward the green houses where he knew Luna and Neville more than likely were located.
