Seventy-Five years after Korra's run as Avatar, the world has changed. Technology has improved only slightly, but it's the people that have changed the most. Humans cannot live in peace for too long. A new monster has risen from the depths, the Rule Maker. A faceless, unknown person pulling the strings behind Freedom City.
Bending is illegal; benders are welcome in the city--but to practice the ancient art will get them thrown into jail. Ba Sing Se has fallen, and the world seems to be again on the brink of war. Only the Avatar, with friends and supporters will be able to overcome this difficult task ahead.
