"WOTCHER, GENTS!" ***NYMPHADORA[/s]*** *** TONKS*** Tonks/Dora/Nymph/Peanut .23. Hufflepuff Alumni. Auror. Order of the Phoenix.sometimes I'm clueless and I'm clumsyTonks. Tonks. Tonks. Tonks. And...well, Tonks. That's all there really is to it. Tonks is just...Tonks. There's nothing mysterious or dramatic about her...well, unless she's a bit hyper. Or cranky. Or deprived of chocolate. Then things might get dramatic. But seriously, there's absolutely nothing about her bar who she is and who she shows off to the world at large. Bit of an irony to that, isn't there? A Metamorphmagus that's entirely, one hundred percent herself? But hey, there you have it. Because she's right here, and she's Tonks. It's who she is, and regardless of how many faces she takes on, it's who you get. Stubborn, energetic, playful, inquisitive, clumsy, impish, loud, cheeky, lovable (and loving) Don't-Fucking-Call-Me-Nymphadora...well, okay, not quite Tonks anymore, she'll give you that. NOT THAT THIS GIVES ANYONE THE RIGHT TO CALL HER NYMPHADORA. becausethenshe'llhavetokillyou. but i've got friends that love me FRIENDS. As a friend, Tonks is the quintessential Hufflepuff; she's stoically, steadfastly loyal and would chew her own feet off before she betrayed those she's come to care for. Suffice to say, she makes friends with rather enviable ease, forever the one in a group ready to welcome you with a bright, bubbly "Wotcher!" and that warm, lopsided grin. She's remarkably open for her age to all kinds of people (which helped a helluva lot when she was brought into the Order of the Phoenix), possibly because she understands all too well what it's like to be bullied and nudged out of a circle. So one might say, in a sense, that Tonks has lots of friends. On the other side of the coin, though, you might also say that even though she's more than willing to chatter away with you, the mere fact that she's a Hufflepuff means that her complete loyalty isn't easily given. As such, when you combine that with her status as a known Order member, you might say that in truth, Tonks has friends. But then she has friends, if you get the drift. The kind that are very few and can be counted on one hand - the ones you can trust explicitly, you know? and they know just where i stand ENEMIES. Despite being of such a friendly disposition, it's inevitable that Tonks has her enemies. Hell, it's a given; she is an Auror and a member of the Order of the Phoenix, not to mention a scion - or a rotten branch - spawned from the House of Black. Add in that little tendency to be painfully honest and absolutely willing to get in your face once in a temper and there's absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind that she's got enemies out to get her and a bounty on her head. Yeah, sod you all in that respect. Her decision, her life, her love, her cause to fight for. And if you don't like it, you can come over here and say it to her face like a man. And by saying it to her face, she means 'quit being a pansy and get within hexing range, wanker'. it's all a part of meLoverrrs. She's yet to admit it to anyone's face - and likes to think people don't notice - but she's got a bad case of fancy. As in, fancying the pants off a man. An older man. An older, professorish, bookish, mischievous, marauderish not-naming-names man. All things considered, though, it's not to say that she's not had her share of romantic encounters in the past. It's just...between her job and the hectic training, and her own bad run-in with love at least once - not to mention that horrible engagement she broke off, there's not really going to be many of them in the serious sense. Flirtations, though, are entirely possible; it's a given that someone of her nature, even at it's clumsiest, is...well, a bit of a flirt at times. Or was...is...whatever. xD and that's who i am

*pounce* Okay so... Seamus and Tonks... I don't see anything, much in the say way Rue here doesn't see much for Luna and Tonks. Though he'll find her pretty cool if he ever does meet her.
Anyway. I also play Ariana and Rue covered the reasons why they know each other. So yeah. Ariana would think that Tonks ROCKS! Ariana I can see almost hero worshiping Tonks cause she's funny and can do that amazing metamorphagus thing. I can see Ari and Tonks joking around and having a good laugh being kids at times.

Howdy there, peeps! Sorry this took so long for some of you; I got wicked busy at work and stuff. Hilariously, being admitted to hospital has given me time to reply to you all. xD
Tonks&&Luna
No, I don't think they'd have met yet. However, I think when they do, it will be absolutely hilarious and somehow, they will get on like a house on fire. Or Nargles and mistletoe.
Tonks&&Harry
Not gonna lie, I nearly had a heart attack when I saw Harry's name in green. Not because it's bad or you're bad or anything, though! I think I'm just the typical old fan used to seeing it in red, and the one time I did see it in green...well. That's another story and I digress. *snort*
Anyway, I've done some thinking in my spare time with these two, and I honestly think they could have known each other before Harry entered Hogwarts. Tonks really isn't that much older than Harry in all honestly; she'd have been about eight when he was born. She probably used to practice her morphing and entertained him with it by extension. She's also the favorite little cousin to Sirius, and through him, she'd have met James, then Lily and finally little Harry. Which is what I think you were trying to get at with them behaving like cousins to each other? Yeah?
Either way, it totally works out; she's an only child, so it'd be nice in an irritating way to have a younger kid like Harry there even if he's teasing and all. The fact he also looks up to her for becoming an Auror so young would also give her reason to sort of be the best she can be, if that makes sense. When you have that older sibling feeling, you tend to sort of be that way no matter how random or weird you are. Or maybe that's just me. xD You also said he's more easygoing, which I think would help them click more so. He's also a Chaser, as was she when she was at Hogwarts, so...really, it's kind of odd that they wouldn't get on like a kind of dysfunctional, loving pair of cousins - what Sirius is to her would be what she is to Harry and all, I think.
He might also not be as blind as he was canonically to Remus/Tonks. *straightface*
Seamus&&Ariana
Yup. Pretty much what I said with Luna applies. ^^
Tonks&&Ariana
I thoroughly and totally agree with you, for many of the reasons I already stated with Harry. Tonks has probably been around since Ariana was a baby, and in the same way she is with Harry, having someone look up to her would sort of give her that grounding. They seem to be quite similar in some ways, or a lot, from what I vaguely remember of Ariana's character sheet, and Dora would be rather protective of her at times. Dora is also very comfortable with who she is, or appears to be even when she isn't, which I think most teenage girls would look up to. What do you reckon?
Tonks&&Neville
Tonks would have an immense amount of admiration for Frank and Alice Longbottom. I'd have to ask the Admin whether or not Neville's met the Order yet, but either way, I think they'd get on pretty well once they meet. Dora's outgoing and chatty, which might make him a bit shy at first, I suppose, but we know she's really warm and friendly, too. So yeah, I think once they meet, they'll be pretty good with each other. Dora's got a habit of kind of adopting everyone younger than her and teaching them bad habits. xD
I'd love to thread with any of you, for serious, if you're up to it. You may need to drop me a PM, though, especially if you have any ideas or if you start a thread; I'm kind of a bit lacking in the ability to forge ahead with stuff right now. Sorry. ^^;

*waves hello* I've pounced you with Seamus and Ariana but now I present you with. *points* <--- I lack words to say at the moment because I am SOO freaking excited! I've played Remus for YEARS but I've never played with a Tonks! SO... I think Remus is still in the denial phase though he is probably head over heals for Dora. I'm thinking we are going to need to thread!

I think as much as I love David Thewlis, I nearly ended up back in hospital with another heart attack when I saw Ewan. <3333
So I totally thought about it, and in this alternate world, I figured the poor guy might have an easier time now that he hasn't lost ALL of his friends. Of course, he's still Moony, and we know what our Moony is like. If you're agreeable, I figured he probably knew Tonks as a child (and would probably be one of few who called her Dora) but they kind of got a bit seperate over the years due to their lives until recent times? and then he saw her again and was like holy crap i mean wut. xD But they're friends, at least, as well as Order members.
So yes. I totally think we should start a thread. Could you, pleaaase? <3

I totally agree Remus isn't as bad off as when they met and I KNOW Sirius would have introduced Remus to a young little Dora. So I think that is a issue in Remus' mind Even when back at Hogwarts he was hesitant on relationships and some of them probably didn't end well considering his condition and all. So yeah seeing Dora all grown up he'd be like 'wut' as you put it. He denies his feelings but like her... and yes he would call her Dora. If he didn't learn to call her that when she was younger he would go. "Okay we are friends and to me friends don't call friends by their sur-name and seeing as you hate the name Nymphadora, what can I call you then?" SO yeah he would wind up calling her Dora.
I actually have an open thread in Hogsmeade set in the Leaky Cauldron for dinner time and he could probably due with some company... if that thread won't work for you let me know and I'll try to come up with something else for them to do.
EDIT: Also I'm glad you like Ewan he's been my Remus since FOREVER (before David was even cast as Remus)
